Mallacoota is located not far over the NSW border, in Victoria. While my husband and I were staying in Merimbula we decided to check it out. I had been there as a child and had little memory of it so I was keen to explore. It had been a hot summers day and in the mid afternoon the sky took on that hazy look just before a storm, which did hit not long after! 

We came across these orange rocks and I was struck by the contrast of them against the saturated greens of the bush behind them. This is a small study but I think I would love to go back and spend some time doing some studies for a body of work.
