Since I was small I was intrigued by picture book images that invited me into a hidden and enchanted world. Memories of fairies at the bottom of the garden, tiny beings floating downstream in tiny boats, moonlit pathways across the water and a whole magical realm hiding under the leaves, remaining always, infuriatingly, just out of sight.
