"I have always enjoyed sharing the world I see with others, whether it is through teaching or creating visual works in watercolour, oils or acrylics.

I paint places that have a personal story, or moments in time that capture light, colour and movement. These often focus on the things I enjoy – waves, beautiful scenes in the local area and the relationship between water and land. There’s a memory of that morning when the surf was perfect, or the sunrise was spectacular, or the view was stunning. That’s what I love capturing in a painting.

I’ve worked in water colour and oils, more recently in acrylic. I exhibited my work many years ago while studying at Regent College in Vancouver BC, Canada. The proceeds of those sales bought me a ticket home! And it’s home, the beautiful south coast, that gives me joy, and that’s why I paint."
