It's the moments waiting for the 'perfect' shot when the perfect moment occurs. While waiting for the sun to rise, the soft, rippled water caught my eye. Its dramatic flow met the shore and slowly detracted into the deep ocean's embrace.
I found peace within this moment, and the ever-changing flow of the water and tide, a reflection of the constant changes we experience daily and the calmness that can be found within those moments.
Removing the colour element brings the texture and tonal contrasts to the forefront, allowing the viewer to feel these dualities and purely embrace them.
Ripples is captured on Seven Mile Beach near Gerroa on the South Coast of Australia and makes for a thought-provoking print for your home, office, holiday accommodation or wellness space.
