The sea glitters and shifts and curls, then breaks upon the shore. I can see my siblings huddled around the pools of mossy rocks with a nervous excited jitter. The tide cracks with a sawing cry of the gulls. The swell curves back and quietens for a moment, until the next rumbling roar.
The imagery reflects the water moving through the pools that captivate us all. A crevice of detail with trickles of water alive, threading through with each changing tide. The formation created, showing movement with the shells and pebbles, is controlled by the tide, changing what is held within the pools. Just as our lives change with each turn of events.
A time invested work, of detail and form, layers of drying time to create a sense of movement.
