Milford Sound
30.5x 20.5cm
Oil on Canvas panel
Hand Crafted Aus Black Butt timber floating frame
This small oil study captures the dramatic grandeur of Milford Sound, with its towering peaks, mist-laced cliffs, and reflective waters. This piece was created as a foundational exploration for a forthcoming large-scale oil on linen work. The study focuses on the interplay of atmosphere and form—where the stillness of the water mirrors the brooding sky and the sharp vertical rise of Mitre Peak dominates the composition. It’s a glimpse into the early stages of a much more ambitious project.
