In Winters Warmth, I explore the delicate harmony between cool and warm tones within a tranquil winter landscape. Inspired by photo references kindly shared by my teacher, Andrew Tischler, from a place called Lawrence in New Zealand’s South Island during winter, this piece captures the quiet beauty of snow bathed in shifting light. I was captivated by how the cool blues of the snow could dance with the gentle warmth of sunlight illuminating the leaves, creating a sense of calm and quiet vitality within the scene. Through this interplay of temperature and tone, I aim to express the subtle warmth that can be felt even in the coldest moments of nature.
